CMA Trademarks, LLC
CMA Trademarks, LLC was founded by Courtney M. Alvarez to provide high quality, cost effective legal services to clients filing federal trademark applications. Courtney received her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2007, where she also received an Intellectual Property Certificate. In 2008, Courtney started her legal career at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as a Trademark Examining Attorney where she examined thousands of trademark applications over 10 years.
As a USPTO Examining Attorney, Courtney reviewed trademark applications and issued substantive refusals under the Lanham Act, which governs federal trademark law. She acquired expertise in trademark statutes, procedural rules, and the nuances of the trademark application process. Courtney is proud to bring this experience to her clients and to help them successfully register and protect their brand names, logos, and slogans.
Courtney is a member of the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania State Bars. CMA Trademarks can represent clients from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and countries around the world before the USPTO.
